The Myanmar Centre for Responsible Business is an initiative to encourage responsible business activities throughout Myanmar. The Centre is a joint initiative of the Institute for Human Rights and Business (IHRB) and the Danish Institute for Human Rights (DIHR).The United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, which were unanimously endorsed in June 2011 by the UN Human Rights Council, are keys to the Centre’s mission and activities. The Centre facilitates dialogue and processes aimed at building national and local capacity and partnerships on business and human rights related issues.
Myanmar Centre for Responsible Business has published its third Pwint Thit Sa/Transparency in Myanmar Enterprises (TiME) report which uses 35 questions to assess the corporate websites of 100 large Myanmar companies for information on anti-corruption programmes, organizational transparency, and human rights and health, safety and environment (HSE).
Ayeyarwady Bank has been participated in Pwint Thit Sa/Transparency Report for 2 years in a row and will be continued to participate. Ayeyarwady bank was in 9th place last year and gone up to 6th place in 2016.
