Ayeyarwady Bank, a private bank in Myanmar in collaboration with Q-Remit Sdn Bhd, an authorized remittance company in Malaysia announced the launching of their money remittance service known as AYA Quick Remit Money Transfer Service. AYA Quick Remit service provides Myanmar nationals working in Malaysia a legitimate channel to remit funds to their family and friends in Myanmar.

“AYA Quick Remit Money Transfer Service will provide a safe, fast and cost effective way for the many Myanmar citizens working in Malaysia to send money to their loved ones in Myanmar,” said U Than Zaw, Ayeyarwady Bank’s Managing Director. “Customers can have peace of mind when using the AYA Quick Remit service as payment is guaranteed and disbursements made through any of the bank’s wide network of branches. ”

“This is our first foray into the international banking business and we look forward to enhancing product features and to improving our money transfer service. Looking ahead, we are making preparations to provide our customers with the full range of international banking products including international payments, trade, treasury and forex related services”

Ayeyarwady Bank received its banking license from the Central Bank of Myanmar on 2 July 2010 and began operations on 11 August 2010. It provide the full range of domestic retail and commercial banking products and services and is one of the 11 banks granted with the Authorized Dealer License to conduct foreign exchange business.
