AYA Bank Hosts Panel Discussion on Workplace Inclusivity

Posted on November 30, 2024

AYA Bank proudly leads conversations that inspire change and strengthen our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I). On 26 November, we hosted “Cultivating the Culture of Inclusivity” at AYA Bank’s Rowe Head Office, an event streamed live to members of AYA Bank across Myanmar.

Daw Khin Saw Oo, Executive Chairman of AYA Bank, in her opening address, asserted the significance of workplace inclusion. This engaging session featured insights from Daw Khin Ma Ma, Vice Chairman of AYA Bank, and U Nay Lin Htut, Chief Business Officer of AYA Bank, alongside our esteemed guest speaker, Daw Kyawt Kay Thi Win, Country Director of the Business Coalition for Gender Equality (BCGE). Together, they highlighted the importance of building a workplace culture that champions respect, mental safety, and belonging for everyone. Moderated by U Paul Nyan Myint Soe, Director of People Department, AYA Bank, the discussion explored how integrating DE&I principles with anti-harassment initiatives can create a supportive environment where all employees, regardless of background or identity, can thrive.

This event aligns with AYA Bank’s journey as Myanmar’s first EDGE-certified bank, reflecting our global recognition for gender equality in the workplace. By fostering inclusivity and providing equal opportunities, we aim to empower our people and uphold our values in everything we do. A heartfelt thanks to our speakers and all attendees for making this event meaningful. Together, we’re shaping a future where everyone feels supported, respected, and included.
