AYA Bank announced the successful completion of annual tree planting campaign, held at Pann Pyo Let Philanthropic School (Monastery) in Bago Township on 20th June 2025. The event is part of AYA Bank’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment to environmental sustainability and a greener future for Myanmar.

The activity, now in its fourth consecutive year, was led by Daw Khin Saw Oo, Executive Chairman of AYA Bank PCL, alongside senior executives and a dedicated team of 150 staff volunteers. Together, we planted approximately 1,000 Manjansha tree saplings over one acre of designated land.

AYA Bank provided lunch for the children at Pann Pyo Let School, along with cash donation to the Principal Sayadaw to support ongoing community initiatives. AYA staff members also volunteered to personally help serve the children during lunch, reflecting the bank’s spirit of compassion and community engagement. Additionally, in a heartwarming moment, staff members born on this day were celebrated with flowers presented by children from the school, accompanied by wishes for continued health, happiness, and dedication to community service.

Spanning over 100 acres, Pann Pyo Let Monastery is widely respected for its community-focused initiatives, including monastic education, environmental projects, and public healthcare. During the event, the Principal Sayadaw of Pann Pyo Let Philanthropic School expressed appreciation for AYA Bank’s sustained engagement, stating, “Thank you for demonstrating a strong environmental commitment across the entire bank,” and shared insights on the long-term benefits of tree planting with the attendees. Sayadaw explained that Pann Pyo Let also operates a 9-acre of ‘Organic Agriculture Project’ aimed at reducing cancer-related health risks and has managed the Pann Pyo Let Forest Center’s ‘Peaceful Botanical Garden’, established since 2010. We believe that our participation and financial contribution will help strengthen and sustain these community efforts.
