AYA Bank actively participated in the community walk campaign organized by the Golden Rose Cancer Foundation under the guidance of the Ministry of Health and Sports and the Yangon Region Government, today to commemorate the World Cancer Day which falls on 4th February 2019.
The campaign entitled "I AM AND I WILL", organized by International Cancer Control Organization for 2019-2021 commemorative years, was included in the program held today with cancer awareness talk program.
At the ‘World Cancer Day’ community walk campaign more than 1,700 people from various organizations, including government and non-governmental organizations. As a trusted partner, AYA Bank actively participated in such activities for the benefit of the people.
The ‘8th AYA Talk’ for AYA Bank employees was held on 8th December at 9:00 a.m., Rowe Head Office, Kyauktada Township, Yangon, and U Chit Ko (CEO and Founder of Success Life Institution) gave a lecture on the topic of ‘Make Your New One (Attain Your Success Life)’.
The speaker mainly discussed to foster equity and fairness among colleagues in the workplace, to improve good relationship in various social and economic environments along with work-life balance, to reduce physical and mental stress and to develop the inspirational leaders who can provide the best leadership and motivation. The 167 employees, who attended the event, has participated in discussions and fun programs, and the event was ended successfully at 1:00 p.m.
In order to improve the professional skills of the housekeeping staff who are working at AYA Bank, Yangon Head Office, the Administrative Department, with support from Learning & Development (L&D) Department, has organized a "Cleaning Service, Hygiene and Workplace Ethic for Housekeeping Staff" course on 7th September from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm in the conference room at River View Head Office in Ahlone Township.
In the first session of the training, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM, U Thant Zaw Soe (GM, Admin) and Daw Ei Ei Aung (Deputy Manager, L&D) covered the topics of workplace ethics, customer service and personal hygiene in order to provide good service in business areas related to internal/external customers and to be able to take care of personal health and hygiene. After that, U Tin Aung Win, the Assistant Executive Housekeeper of Novotel Hotel, Yangon, gave theory and practical training on the "Cleaning Service Training" from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in order to enable 143 Housekeeping staff to become more proficient in cleaning operations.
At the end of the first session of the training, lunch was served for all the employees, and in the second session, (35) housekeeping staff who are working at the headquarters and training centers were given practical training with cleaning equipment by U Tin Aung Win from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
U Tin Aung Win and team were presented with souvenirs from AYA Bank. The training program was successfully completed at 2:00 p.m. after taking group photos.
AYA Environmental Care Activity as a part of its CSR initiatives by AYA Bank in Bago Township On the early morning of 14th June 2018, AYA Environment Day, AYA team led by its Corporate Affairs Department left for Bago Township to plant trees in order to maintain the green environment within the region in coordination with Wai Lu Won Monastery which is carrying out a green environment philanthropic project. On behalf of AYA Bank, firstly, AYA team donated cash to Venerable Sayartaw Dr Ashin Pyin Nyaw Bar Tha, the principal of Wai Lu Won monastery as well as the head of Pan Pyo Latt Philanthropic School in Kyout Tan San Pya Village, Bago Township. June born staff of the bank took part in the cash donations as well.
Secondly, AYA team offered both breakfast and lunch to the monks at the monastery and also donated breakfast and lunch to 400 students who are studying in the monastery. Afterwards, AYA team gave away corporate stationaries to the children of Pan Pyo Latt Philanthropic School as well. Finally, AYA team enthusiastically planted 300 young trees of Malaysia Padauk in Kyout Tan San Pya Village, Bago Region. In the evening, AYA team headed back to Yangon and on their way back, the students from Pan Pyo Latt Philanthropic School gave beautiful flowers to all team members from AYA and cheerfully waived goodbye.
