CSR News Year:2025
On March 5, 2025, AYA Bank PCL proudly hosted an early celebration of International Women’s Day (IWD) under the global theme #AccelerateAction, reaffirming our commitment to empowering and uplifting women. This year, the Bank embraced the message 'Always Love Yourself', encouraging self-care, confidence, and personal growth among our female employees.
As part of the celebration, AYA Bank organized an exclusive two-hour Personal Grooming Training for our female staff, aimed at enhancing their professional and personal confidence. The training was joined by approximately 400 staff, both in-person and online. The event was graced by an inspiring opening remark from CEO of AYA Bank PCL, Daw Jasmine Thazin Aung, who emphasized the Bank’s dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace for women.
Adding a heartfelt touch to the occasion, we distributed beautifully crafted handmade pouches to all female employees. These special gifts were ordered from the Women’s Development Center, aligning with the Bank’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to support and uplift women-led industries.
Through such initiatives, AYA Bank PCL continues to champion gender equality, empowering women to excel both in their careers and personal lives. The Bank remains committed to fostering a workplace where women feel valued, inspired, and empowered to accelerate their progress in all aspects of life.
Happy International Women’s Day!
About Women’s Development Center
‘Women’s Development Center’ in Kamayut, Yangon, stands as a beacon of hope for women facing societal challenges for over half a century. Established as part of the government's initiatives to promote gender equality and economic independence for women, the center focuses on equipping women, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds, with the necessary skills to achieve self-sufficiency. It is a key institution dedicated to provide crucial support, including literacy and vocational training programs, to women, ensuring their integration and success in society.
AYA Bank PCL staff continued their commitment to saving lives as New Year Blood Donation Drive on 1st March, 2025. Under the inspiring message "Give Blood, Give Hope, Give Life ", the initiative reflected the Bank’s dedication to social responsibility and community support. As part of the bank's anniversary celebrations, the Corporate Affairs Department initiated the life-saving blood donation drive in 2013, and this year marked the 10th event of this meaningful initiative.
Held at National Blood Center Myanmar, the event showcased enthusiastic participation from AYA Bank employees, who stepped forward to donate blood and make a meaningful difference. A total of (181) staff members from Rowe and River View Head Offices and Yangon Division (1) and (2) adhered to the National Blood Center’s guidelines and participated in the voluntary blood donation. Employees from branch offices donated from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, while employees from the head offices contributed in the afternoon until 3:30 PM as part of their life-saving blood donation efforts.
During the event, AYA Bank donated MMK 2 million to the National Blood Center and provided lunch for all staff at the National Blood Center. Additionally, as a token of appreciation, we presented commemorative gifts, along with energizing supplements such as medicine, snacks, eggs, and energy drinks, to our employees who participated in the blood donation drive.
Over the past ten years, this initiative has contributed to thousands of lives, reinforcing the importance of regular blood donation. It fulfills the need of Yangon General Hospital and other hospitals in Yangon Area to reserve blood for emergency and treatment readiness. On behalf of AYA Bank PCL, we would like to express gratitude to all participants, "This annual tradition is more than just a donation drive—it’s a way to give back to our community and start the new year with a spirit of generosity. We are proud of our staff’s unwavering support in making a life-saving impact." We also extend our gratitude to staff from the Administration Department who attended and provided their support for this special occasion.
AYA Bank remains committed to corporate social responsibility and encourages others to join in the noble cause of blood donation. As the bank looks forward to future events, it continues to uphold its mission of giving hope and life to those in need.
